Trr'kala (New Race)

The insect-like Trr'kala are a relatively new species whose planet of origin is unknown. The first known contact anyone has had with these creatures came in the form of a Moff's personal assassin. The Moff had claimed that the being was the last of its kind, and had been "rescued" while still young and trained to kill at his orders.
After being discovered by a group of vagabonds, and freed, the assassin discovered the truth: that the last remaining members of its species had been eradicated by the Moff's own troops during an otherwise routine survey mission deep beyond the Outer Rim territories. The creature (semi-affectionately dubbed "Pinchy" by his discoverers) murdered its former master, joined the crew of the Dead Tauntaun. Pinchy's current whereabouts are unknown, though according to the surviving members of the crew, shortly before it vanished the strange being appeared to be preparing to lay eggs. This might explain the sudden incursion of new members of the nearly extinct Trr'kala species.

Personality: Cold, patient, and vastly unpredictable at times.

Physical Description:
The Trr'kala are a race of insectile humanoids, very similar in appearance to man-sized, black centipedes. They have large mandibles, two piercing yellow orbs for eyes, a pair of humanoid arms, and a long body covered in a series of small "legs". In their natural state, the Trr'kala are extended to their full height / length (and are capable of rearing up to a height of 2.6 meters when angered), but most are content to coil and bundle their body up beneath heavy cloaks or robes, disguising their true size. All Trr'kala seem to be asexual.

Homeworld: Unknown, though the species does not yet appear to have spread beyond the Outer Rim.

Languages: All Trr'kala speak Kala'saa, a series of clicks, hisses, and body language that is difficult for others to learn. The language is not taught to Trr'kala young, but rather seems to be passed on from parent to offspring through a process that is little understood.

Example Names: Unknown. Whatever culture the Trr'kala may have had has been lost, and their names for one another are impossible for most other species to pronounce. A typical Trr'kala will have a nickname given to it by its traveling companions.

Adventurers: Having a natural predisposition towards being stealthy, as well as an innate survivability, most Trr'kala make excellent scouts. Their difficulty in comprehending the value of life, as well as their tendency to follow orders without question can lead some Trr'kala down the path of the scoundrel or soldier.

TRR'KALA SPECIES TRAITS
Trr'kala share the following species traits:

Ability Modifiers:
+2 Strength, +2 Constitution, -2 Dexterity, -2 Wisdom, -4 Charisma. Trr'kala are strong and hardy, but lack the quickness and force of personality of other races.

Medium Size: As Medium creatures, Trr'kala have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.

Move: Trr'kala base speed is 6 squares.

Darkvision: The Trr'kala species seems to have adapted to an almost perpetually darkened homeworld. They ignore concealment (including total concealment) from darkness. However, they cannot perceive colors in total darkness.

Climb Speed: Due to an unusual number of secondary limbs, all Trr'kala possess a natural climb speed equal to their regular movement speed.

Limited Speech: A Trr'kala can understand many languages, but is only able to speak in its own.

Conditional Bonus Feat: The Trr'kala are able to move in almost complete silence, and are further possessed of the remarkable ability to remain completely motionless for long periods of time. As such, any Trr'kala with Stealth as a trained skill automatically gains Skill Focus (Stealth) as a bonus feat.

Automatic Languages: Basic (cannot speak) and Kala'saa.
